This year as we celebrate our 80th anniversary we have two primary fundraising goals; to continue the amazing feat of 100% participation from our current families for the third year in a row and to build our Leadership Circle. We are asking our families, alumni, and friends to stretch, dig deep and consider giving at the leadership level of $1000 + to celebrate our past and ensure our future. By giving at the leadership level you will be able to join us as our guests at the Leadership Circle dinner on October 26th, 2009, along with the Board, and other families, alumni and friends of the school who have made SRV their philanthropic priority.

The SRV Annual Fund strengthens our operating budget in many significant ways. For example it allows us to expand our financial aid, raise teacher salaries, build our educational programs – (Spanish Immersion), maintain our buildings, provide exciting professional opportunities for our teachers, and integrate technology into the classrooms.

Tuition does not cover the full cost of educating the children at SRV. The Board of Trustees strives to keep tuition as affordable as possible, so as to have the most diverse student body enriching all of the children's experiences. To do this the school must rely on other sources of revenue from parents, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, staff and friends of the school. A successful independent school must rely on a strong commitment from its entire community.

Please consider making your gift and/or pledge at the leadership level today by sending your gift directly or by giving on line via our website (donations can be paid monthly until June 30th). Gifts of securities and matching gifts are encouraged as well. SRV is now part of the PA Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program and your company's gift can earn a valuable tax credit.
